MILE is housed in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science. The lab is one of the premier research centers in India focusing on a wide range of areas such as Machine Listening, Medical Image Processing, Document Image Analysis and Recognition, Online handwriting recognition, Text to Speech Synthesis in Indian languages and Natural language processing. The lab is under Prof. A. G. Ramakrishnan.
